What to expect before you submit a request through USFLUENT Community.
You might want short weekly video conversations, casual discussions about everyday life or practice talking about work and travel. Your request can describe your approximate level, interests, preferred format and availability. Clear preferences help people judge whether a conversation would be useful to both sides.
Submit a partner request through Community and verify your email. The team reviews requests before anything is published. Interested learners may request an introduction. Contact information is not listed on a public partner card; it is shared only through an agreed introduction process.
Choose an achievable length, such as 20–30 minutes, and one topic. Take turns asking questions, practise simple follow-ups like “What do you mean?” and agree what to discuss next time. A good speaking partner is a practice companion, not a substitute for professional teaching.
You control what you submit. Avoid including personal phone numbers, addresses or other private information in public descriptions. Verification and moderation reduce unwanted contacts but do not guarantee that a compatible partner is available at any given time.
